I have had depression all of my life. In my teens and twenties, I was prescribed 8 different medications over the course of a few years and nothing seemed to work. The last medication I took for depression and anxiety was Paxil and it definitely did not help me. The beast of all medications, it took me a year and a half to get off Paxil.
After all the disappointment and lack of success with medication, I resigned myself to living with depression and anxiety.

For the last five years, I've done my best to deal with being depressed on a daily basis, but it has been quite taxing on me, my friends, and my family. I often miss a lot of work and much of the good things in life due to these emotional troubles. I have tried therapy and it helps. I also use acupuncture, which helps with my depression and anxiety. However, I still have not felt completely happy or free of these issues.
One day when I was feeling particularly depressed and totally hopeless, my therapist suggested I try the Alpha-Stim® 100. I think more clearly, I am calm and feel at peace with myself. I sleep better and in the morning, I am happy that I woke up to have another day! (I never felt that way before!)
